With his father Togoon Tumure Khan's death in
1370, eldest son Bilegt Ayushridar became King of
Mongolia only, since the Chinese expelled his
father from China.
Bilegt made Karakorum, the ancient capital city
of Chingis (Genghis) Khan again the capital of
the much-reduced Mongol empire. He soon had his
hands full fighting the Chinese, who pressed
their advantage over the border after the fleeing
Mongol armies. Bilegt Ayushridar Khan was able to
stave off the pursuing armies of the Ming
Dynasty.
