When 7-year old Rinchinbal died, his brother Togoon who was five years older ascended to the title of Khan. Togoon Tumur Khan achieved some measure of stability, ruling for 37 years. However, in 1368, when Togoon Tumur Khan was 48 years old, the Chinese arose against their Mongol rulers and defeated the Yuan Dynasty. Togoon Tumur and the rest of the Mongol court fled back to Mongolia. |
